We have strong wind today, so on my way to the supermarket this morning, I took this shot with my smartphone from the north side of this spit. Wind from North-East. Dont know what appeared out there. Yes a gull... but that in the water.... Donno. :-P

Yeah, it is a splendid smartphone capture. I assume you stopped and got out of the car; because if this was taken while you were in motion, you deserve a Nobel Prize. Still, even standing still, it's a sweeping, majestic shot of that grand sea that borders your part of the country. Beautiful two tones, w/ deeper blue in the distant waters, and a silvery light blue in the closer waters. And just enough ground to root it all, and a beautiful sweeping sky...As for the gull, they don't give a fig where they fly: They're the vagabonds of birds, they eat whatever they can (we're not talkin' haute cuisine here), they have the most piercing call of almost any bird alive---they call it "mobbing" when a bunch of them whoop it up; and "mobbing" fits them perfectly---so for one to fly over these waters is probably a ho-hum affair. "All in a day's work..." When we studied them, they were pretty much the gangsters of birds...It looks great against this majestic sea; makes the pic all the more sweeping. A big beautiful stormy shot. You sure have beautiful nature out where you live!
