I'm stepping away for a bit, for work and other things; but I wouldn't leave without commenting on your latest. (And I'll be commenting on and off while I'm gone too...I'll be watching everything, regardless). This is another beautiful, whole and tactile fractal from you. An object, very touchable, very physical. It looks like a big metal or plastic sculpture, and you've given deep shadow around it, and museum lighting as well (subtle, and morphing with shadow, to let the object dominate, and create a sense of mystery). Many of the fractals I've seen of yours are like that---very visceral and like displayed works of art. This is like a splash in that the waves emanate downwards from the top, and elongate as we go down; and the bottom is like ripples in a pond. Beautiful, Barb! And your lighting truly makes it a 3 dimensional object, sitting on a mantle. Beautiful lighting, and beautiful piece of art. I hope your new year is marvelous.
