Yes, I know. May the Fourth is a day all Star Wars fans rejoice at. Instead of sharing Star Wars fan art (which others are far better at than I), I decided to take some inspiration from the various Star Wars knockoffs that were everywhere from 1978 to 1982 or thereabouts. T'was a good time to sell posters with droids that resembled Threepio and Artoo, and to have X-winged rockets on video-game cabinets. Anything vaguely evocative of Lucas' film was like putting money in the bank.
So here is my tribute to those heady, derivative days, using the old Star Fire model that Daz has sold for a long, long time. Lots of retexturing done using shaders, and lots of postwork in GIMP and Filter Forge.

Nice ! I think they spawned a whole lot of sci-fi shows.Though I am a fan of Star Wars, I probably can't even name all the movies in the Star Wars saga... lol... I just enjoy watching them. but my attention span regarding any particular character or event is practically zero. In fact that is true for any movies or series I have ever watched...
