I finally jumped on the bandwagon and purchased Terragen 3. It has been crashing a lot,may be my machine.I haven't given up with Terragen Classic, I'm still discovering new things with that oldie program. Thanks for dropping by.

as a photographer, I'm always amazed at fine Terragen work, because it looks photographic, but it involves so much more work, planning, plotting, and such. And you get detail in Terragen that is very difficult to get with a camera, unless you have a very high end camera and a lot of time. Very strong detail here, in both textures and deep shadows. And your lighting is beautiful and dramatic. And the peak that's most lit is highlighted only in one portion; while the rest of it is in varying shades of grays and shadows. I assume that doing pieces like this gives you a chance to explore the inner nature of landscape, because you're re-creating it in front of you. And to get insights into the language of light and shadow on the earth's surface, as you create those lights and shadows one step at a time. It's both realistic but clearly created; and it's beautiful.
