Description

A tiny snail on Mom's thumbnail -- that's her face looming in the background. When she picks the slugs off the plants in her garden she sometimes finds snails, and I happened to be with her and have a camera with me this time. Postwork: blurred the background a little extra to get rid of grain, added a brighter soft light layer (I'm just going to continue being specific for those of you not familiar with my usual postwork routine). EDIT: Forgot to mention that I got rid of some glare on her nail. Can't remember exactly what I did but it was something to do with the softest edged selector brush and a gradient that went from her normal finger color to slightly brighter. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Wonderful shot, I'm sort of imagining what the snail is thinking...
