It's been two months now since I last posted a photo and time has been flying by without me even noticing it. I am sorry for missing whatever superb works have been uploaded by my friends over here so far, but this is a definitely and sadly enough hectic year for me,
jobwise...However, in the course of those busy cold and dull days of winter I was lucky to spend a fortnight in what is a giant developing country now steadily catching up on its more developed partners. I had quite a culture shock with India and its chaotic hustle and bustle, its gigantic capital city, but found solace and immense emotions in the smiles and peace of mind of the Indians, and even cool sensations in the smaller cities and villages of Rajasthan, where the people make time to make you feel comfortable. I took more than 2,000 photos there but I promise I won't bother you with more than three or four of them !... This Indian mother and her daughters are standing here before Humayun's mausoleum in Delhi, a mausoleum commissioned by the wife of the deceased second emperor(1508-1558) of the Mughals who ruled over Northern India at the time. Humayun's tomb is said to be the architectural source of inspiration for another worldwide tomb and monument, the Taj Mahal, commissioned by the third Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan, for his beloved Muntaz Mahal...If you feel like listening to a moody and beautiful Indian music track that, to me , sets the mood of this photo, just click here!

Jean-Luc, it was such a pleasure to see you return to the gallery once again. This beautiful capture of this mother and her two lovely daughters was the perfect way to set the tone for your return. It sounds as if you've been very busy and I really enjoyed reading your thoughts on your time in India. Honestly I do hope you will share more than three or four photos, as I would love to see as many pictures of this majestic country as possible. (and hopefully your thoughtful commentary on them also)

Mon Dieu ! Quelle belle photo ! En un cliché, tu as su capter toute l'atmopshère et la beauté de ce pays. Ces Indiennes sont superbes et leurs habits sont si joliment colorés. Je pense bien que tu as eu un choc culturel ! C'est si différent de nos civilisations occidentales si stressées et malheureusement, beaucoup plus égoïstes, comme tu l'as souligné ! Je pense que tu as gardé de très bons souvenirs de ce grand pays ! Merci aussi pour ton retour et ton partage avec nous !

Lovely to see a posting from you and I too haven't been around RR much as I am trying to learn some more software. I love the bright colours and the jewellery these women are wearing and they seem very happy to have their photo taken. An excellent capture.

Il est des artistes rares que l'on a grand plaisir à voir revenir...tu en fais évidemment partie. Et tu nous reviens avec une photo éclatante de lumière, de couleurs et de sourires. C'est tout simplement splendide. Je me suis toujours demandé comment je réagirais dans ce pays que l'on nous montre grouillant où le pire et le meilleur vivent côte à côte.
