Description

I guess I should have entered this into the recent ‘Secret Garden’ competition, but it was well and truly over before I even started this (and it wasn’t my intention to make a garden picture when I started anyway!) Just started playing around with a few Bryce primitives and this happened to come out. It looks like a calm place, perhaps an artist folly placed in a small corner of some gigantic private garden in an aristocrat’s estate on a distant world somewhere. A world where the sun always shines and life abounds such that people (or any other creatures you may care to imagine) spend all their days tending and arranging the world around them, simply for the joy and beauty of it. I think perhaps now this image was inspired by a classic sci-fi novel I was reading at the time “Hothouse” by Brian Aldiss. It’s a fantastic book about Earth in the far, far future where plants have taken over the world. Animals, including humans, have been completely overshadowed by plant life – richly detailed and fascinating: a highly recommended read! The grass you see is by contrafibbularities and is available for free here at Rendo. The rest is all my own using standard Bryce materials. No postwork, just B6.1 I always look forward to your comments: always appreciated!

Terrific design, especially like the "surreal gyroscope" about your recent read; wasn't it the basic idea for that Sci Fi movie with Vin Diesel? Anyways, I give this a 10+ ~Sazz~
