Well I just learn t something Mexican-Americans celebrate Cinco de Mayo as a celebration of Mexicanhood (like St. Patrick's day for Irish-Americans). But most Americans celebrate Cinco de Mayo because we love Mexican food, drinks and music, and Cinco de Mayo is an excuse to enjoy these things en masse. Happy Quatro de Mayo
