Description

Now my gallery is just 2 years old, folks, because I opened it on August 30th, 2006! Uploading has seriously slowed down because now I am busy in drawing a comic adventure album, which takes a lot of time, and also because of serious health problems of my mother. So please forgive me not to be much involved in comments at Renderosity. I do my best to visit your galleries, but if you are sad that I forget you too much, do put me an email! In this picture, my comic heroin Silvia is some 7 years old and she is more and more anxious about her origins, hence her expression. Silvia has beeen modeled not with Poser but with N-Sided Quidam, starting from the default little girl of Quidam. Quidam offers a marvelous easiness to reshape characters, as I showed a while ago. I modeled the room where Silvia stands and her corrective glasses in Cinema 4D R9.0. The armchair is a C4D freestuff modeled in 2004 by Muga and it shows the popular (and very comfortable!) Ikea Poäng seat. The Plushie is offered with Poser 7. The whole scene was created and rendered in Cinema 4D. As Quidam doesn’t have for Silvia the haircut that she should have when she is 6 to 8 years old, I drew it in Photoshop. The final image, in a slightly different style, was published in the French magazine CreaNum (Digital Creation) for a test on Adobe Illustrator CS3 in 2007. The Quidam model-sheet of Silvia can be seen here:

Temporarily, my drawings’ site www.elcet.net is closed, but I have opened another one (today in version 1.6a) to present my comic project. It is here:

"Silvia (the adventures of Silvia Robin)"

This is not a public site: I have done it for the fun of friends. But more important is to help me to improve the project, therefore every comment will be welcome. The site is entirely bi-lingual (french/english), except for the balloons which are only in french. The access to comic pages needs, as said in my earlier posts, a secret code. But without code, there are 58 drawings (formerly 52) in 3 galleries to enjoy!

Excellent character - the good thing about renderosity is that it is a community and people can come a go as they please. Two years is a great achievement - a long term aim is often the good way to go.

I am sorry to read the continuing bad news about your mother. You and she have my best wishes for a recovery. And congratulations on the the two years of posting on Renderosity. And if you fail to make the rounds here, it's certainly understandable. This character, indeed, appears to be a most thoughtful and intelligent young girl. Really well done! You display superb talent and resourcefulness.

Un graphisme tout en simplicité apparente, mais tellement expressif. J'aime beaucoup !
