Description

Inspired by a rather corny Aussie horse movie I saw a little while back; there was one scene however that I really liked, of the focus of the movie, a silver stallion, that used minimal lighting in a dark stormy night. I thought I would try out some experimental painting techniques/use the Painter I won last year here some more. I did do a base render for setting up the lighting and for reference using the Mil Horse in Bryce 5, but all of the image has been totally overpainted in Painter. I also wanted to try doing more complicated hair for the mane etc. A definite challenge for me! Worth a look at the larger image to see the detail. The original is 16" x 20" Hope you enjoy!

This image is awesome. The colors are simple yet grab you and pull you in. The lighting and shadow almost remind me of a full moon-lit night. Another beautiful image! One of my favorites for sure!
