Description

My companion and friend BABY. Some years ago I took this photo of Baby sitting in a crab apple tree in full bloom. I told him to smell the flowers. Much to my surprise he reached his paw out and pulled a blossom to his nose - really haming up his act. LOL. Photo Op. . Some six or seven years ago I entered that photo in a photo competition; which notified me today that the photo won second place in US competition ... An engraved silver bowl. I am old and wise enough to know that the bowl would cost me a good many dollars - and there is no way I could travel across the street let alone to any award gathering. Sooo - I thought I would share one of my better photos and my pride in having it recognized. Unfortunately I lost the original 35MM SLR print years ago and the BITMAP file was lost in a hard drive crash. Sometimes life is not a bowlfull of cherries - but Baby's photo photo survives. I am going to pay for the bowl - Cherries, crabapples or dustbunny storage. hehehe. Check out the bowl if ya wanna. LOL http://www.picture.com/convention/convention_awarddisplay.asp?VIP=387914&SC=DC04&fn=Dwayne&ln=Cope Bless you all and thank you for visiting. DWAYNE I have been trying to upload for 3 hours. (sigh)

Re your posting on http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=613015 ... "Appearently askguiden is not familiar with Bitmap vs JPEG photo quality which is why I mention loosing the BITMAP. Obviously pixelated or poor quality SLR photos don't pass the first cut on photo competition. IF the judges HAD not posted the poor JPEG I wouldn't have the shot at all ...". I could clean it with PSP6 or 8, or any of several other photo I have but I chose to post "as is". After 3 hours trying to get it uploaded I sure am not even going to try to repost. LOL. If anyone needs a good FREE photo handler I recommend VICMAN's. I use it often; One button to clean up other pixelated postings. God bless ya all - and stay safe my friends. Dwayne

IN MEMORANDUM ... NOV 1988 - DEC 2004 WE LOST OUR FRIEND AND FAITFUL COMPANION TODAY. BORN AND REJECTED BY HIS MOTHER, I HAND RAISED HIM FROM BIRTH UNTIL LAST EVENING WHEN I HAND FED HIM SOME OF HIS FAVORITE TREATS. ADVERSE WEATHER BADLY AGGRAVATED HIS LIFETIME ASTHEMA CONDITION. GOD BLESS AND KEEP HIM UNTIL I MEET HIM AGAIN. DWAYNE COPE

Lovly image!!! Very touching and beautiful cat. I understand how much you would miss him. I miss my poppy too. He hasn't past away so to speak, but I had to put him in a chennel until I can find time to take care of him, between, work, school and Ben... I have no time for my beloved Charlie. So, I know exactly how you must feel seeing this picture.
