ooh, a beautiful low-lying landscape with monumental forms---one of those landscapes which are monumental and low-lying at the same time. You articulated the strata beautifully, with real clarity in the front-most mound, and fine play of light and shadow too. And the foreground feels more like a shale desert than a sand desert. And fine atmospheric fading as we go back into the landscape. I have to assume you've either studied geology, or just have a fine eye for it (as you do for architecture, history, cellular biology, and several other things): This reads very true to our earth. And the clouds have a gentle almost-surreal feel, for their deep green-gray shadows, and a very slight glow to them. A beautiful long landscape, showing that, amidst your many varied talents, you have a feel for primal landscape that's as good as any of them. Wonderful work once more.
