Description

There are not many that know exactly how sick Scotti ever was. Most know she had a cancer but it was removed. The truth was far more horrific. From the age of 8 to the age of 17 she fought nearly every version of cancer that was known. The fact she lived at all is just short a miracle. But there was a cost. She lost a lung, a kidney, over half her stomach and several meters of intestine. Not to mention the full hysterectomy, all before her 15th year. But the fun didn't stop there. Her would lose all her hair and it would never regrow, her nervous system was damaged and doesn't detect most tactile sensations. Her metabolism tripled requiring her to take food at a rate that would make combat troops become fat, just to keep at 110 pounds. But what hurt the most was her loss of dexterity. Coming from the musical family of Cinnimon and Tambra she lost the ability to play even the simplest instruments. But her drive to write was strong as her mother and sister. But over time as she would learn a second time to walk again and dance as she had she drilled on instruments to regain what her illnesses had taken from her. It was frustrating and difficult but she was driven. She had written a tune that was meant to honor her mothers ancestry of ireland. It was difficult to play even for her sister and out of the range that scotti had been able to reclaim but she would try. Tambra, knowing her sister may not be able to play it was determined to help and cover any errors and support her little sister take back all that was supposed to be hers. Thier mother decided to turn it into a video so that if needed editing could fix further errors. While there were a few odd notes it seemed to give the tune a "Perfect Imperfection". The video would win many awards and earn Scotti her first "Grammy". Mike Oldfield "Celtic Rain" 1996 https://youtu.be/PIwb781GQkU
