Description

SCHNEEPFLUG = Snowplow The first snowplows were horsedrawn wedge-plows made of wood. With the advent of the automobile, a number of inventors set about to improve existing snowplows. In the US, patents were issued for snowplow improvements at least as early as 1920. In 1923, the brothers Hans and Even Øveraasen of Norway constructed an early snowplow for use on cars. This proved to be the start of a tradition in snow-clearing equipment for roads, railways and airports, as well as the foundation of the company Øveraasen Snow Removal Systems. Carl Frink of Clayton, New York, USA was also an early manufacturer of automobile-mounted snowplows. His company, Frink Snowplows, now Frink-America, was founded by some accounts as early as 1920. -see also wikipdedia- Thanks for looking Andreas

This is a lot of fun to view--so much going on to take it all in at once. Love the snow effects and the lighting, too. I wonder about the falling guy. He looks like he tripped instead of slipping. I have certainly done my share of slipping and falling on snow and ice, but I always landed on my back. (Which may explain why I will be going into hospital in February for back surgery. Heh!) I also think he greatly under-clothed for the weather. Of course, he may be just going from his office to a resturant across the street or something like that. Anyway, if there is a weakness in this picture this guy is it. By the way, did ever wish you a Happy New Year? If not, then I will now. May you and yours have a wonderful and meaningful coming year.
