Sandstone seems so simple and common. I think it is often set aside for more elaborate rocks but to me, it is the more elaborate rock. The colors are always fascinating and knowing how they are formed amazes me, much like this incredible shot does.

This is astoundingly rich. The colors are brilliant and the POV rocks. Sandstone (in mass quantities like this) is always far more interesting that other rock formations, simply because it's so rich, so textured, and often so brilliantly colored, especially in sunlight. This is gorgeous work.
