Description

When thinking of an image to pick to thank my friends on Renderosity for the Birthday posts, and good wishes, I thought of the wonderful video art installation that is currently on regular display on the facade of the San Fernando Cathedral in downtown San Antonio. When deciding on an image, this one came to mind, for reasons anyone who has been paying attention to Texas weather for the last month, will readily understand. We've had a bit of rain. I will be giving individual thanks this weekend, but I wanted to send out thanks now for the beautiful birthday images, and words, and for the birthday wishes in the comments. Thank you all very much! I am well, but busy. I'm not sure when I will be on Renderosity on a regular basis, but I am very grateful for the friends I have made here, and the continuing inspiration of the beautiful artwork. A wonderful and happy summer (or winter) to everyone! Here's a link to "San Antonio, The Saga", with a great video of the event: http://www.mainplaza.org/san-antoniothe-saga/

Lucinda, first of all let me wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You were the one who first introduced me to this Saga and I've certainly enjoyed all the amazing photos you shared with me. Hopefully the rain will finally let up and things there can start to get back to normal.

It's really great to see a post from you Lucinda. So sorry, I did not know that it was your birthday recently, I hope you will forgive this belated Happy Birthday to you. WOW! That is a fantastic shot and you captured it so well. Perfect exposure given the lighting conditions. Kudoes to those who came up with the idea for this display. And you are right, retrospectively the theme does foreshadow current event in your part of the world. I hope flooding has not struck hard where you live. We've been hearing some very nasty stories of cars and their passengers being swept away.

Did something happen in Texas? I heard there was rain. Did anyone get wet? Well, our plan worked perfectly. All those birthday wishes coaxed you out of hiding. Muhahaha! As for this image, my first reaction was, honestly, WOW! I have never heard of The Saga but this is just another reason to visit Texas. Thanks for posting this. It is awesome. Stay safe and well ma'am.

Great abstract of the San Antonio cathedral, Lucinda. A far cry from the Alamo in SA. Unfortunate that you can't spend more time on Renderosity. And, I live a block away from San Antonio Street in my city. In contrast to the situation in Texas, we haven't any substantial rain here in years. The California Drought, you know.
