This one is very young and hasn't changed all his coat to red, like his mother (she was hiding on an upper branch). Ours are not as not as big those in the USA.

Our squirrels don't have these marvelous ear tufts. But we do have two different types of squirrels. We have the very common gray squirrel (which also comes in a black variant) and the much smaller red squirrel. I've not been able to get a good shot of the red squirrel which is much faster, and shyer about humans then the grays. wonderful capture of this little guy!
so nice to see photographs like this from you. The motion of the squirrel, how you captured him in harmony with the branches (in the break between two), the flare of his tail and coat, with much color harmony between all elements of the picture: simple and beautiful. And it's a true squirrel posture—ie, in motion yet standing at attention, always alert. It's true to the animal, and it's beautiful. (Note: I've taken all week to catch up on galleries & still have some to go. I go alphabetically, not by ebots, so you're in the N's! I pick representative samples of what I've missed, as I could never comment on them all...but as I've said to you before, I've seen everything and what I don't comment on here, please know I've loved. Over time I may get to them all anyway. Yours is one of those galleries where the quality never flags...and I see you're still under 500, lol! Well maybe this summer we'll see you reach it, even though you're probably somewhere near 550 or 600 by now! Wonderful to be back here again, Nikolay!)
