Very nice concept. Lighting is great, and all of your hard work is applauded. You've worked very hard to wrestle the 3D software into your vision. I would like to see some postwork to cover the 3D errors - excessive creases at his arms/shoulders, hands aren't natural, background doesn't provide focus, etc. Overall, this is really well done. You s/b very proud.
Also while i agree with a lot of your comment I'm not sure what you mean with the hands. The shoulders i see now that you have pointed that out. The background well I just didnt have much to work with at the time. The render is several months old and i just now started posting my work. I wasn't happy with the background when i made it but it's really all I had that would work for what I was going for at the time. Again thanks.
characterful and atmospheric; the menacing scowl somewhat brings to mind Rob Liefeld's comic art.
In terms of some of the comments above, a fair few tweaks can be easily done from within DAZ without resorting to postwork; for example using a narrow depth of field camera can help de-emphasise the background and give the figure more punch. A little judicious rotation of some of the figure's joints may help achieve a more natural look (in particular I have found balancing rotation of the collars vs the shoulders helps reduce artificial creases in the arms).
...at the end of the day its still a very good image!
