Description

Back to the basics: rock carvings! LOL I felt the urge to do something more satisfying than the somehow forgetable CG images so I took an ancient Hungarian symbol (found at same excavation) and started to carve the stylised bird. (I have zero experience with stone work but I can follow a line with a chisel, hehe) example: http://www.magyarekszer.hu/tartalom/termekek/medalok/feher-solyom/?t_id=34 Tech info: I used extra hard tungsten tipped chisel otherwise you don't have a chance to make the carving on granite (Mohr hardness 6-7); hardened steel loses sharpness in seconds while tungsten (Mohr hardness 8-9) tip works well. (If you want to test your own stuff) This particular stone had a great texture; the carving lines became white like snow. Place: Aengby - Stockholm West Thanks for viewing!

Great idea! I feel myself as you - doing something with my hands. Should I build a dragon as we did as children? Hope we see more of your fine art: Things like this and/or the computer art.
