Description

Hi all. Long time, no see :) I'm learning DS 4.9 and G3F so that I can start creating some characters again. Here's what I am currently working on. I'm not entirely sure why the skin on her shoulders looks so weird and bumpy, but I'll work on that soon. Anywho...just popping in to say hey :)

She looks great!

I am always looking to have black characters in my renders, and reciecup is where I look first.

Aside, I've been challenged by lighting very dark skin, especially with lighter skin models in the same scene. I expect this challenge exists for folks less driven to include black figures than I am.

Your preview pics show you know how to light dark skin beautifully, can you share some tips?

Thanks! Honestly this lighting was very simple. I just used 2 distant lights, one rotated to the left, the other rotated to the right. This one was also rendered in Daz Studio Iray :)

Nice to see you back :) The white specs on the shoulders is caused by the specular map. Usually with darker skin you have to lower the specular settings and also the specular map itself should be looked at: the spickles are way too big here, they should be tinier so that they more look like pores :)
