Description

Another view from River Gods. The gold coloured Totems take render times very high. I need to work out exactly how these will be distributed. On the last render they were grouped on river islands. On this render they are very sparse. The trouble is that when they are in the distance the displacement geometry doesn't render so they don't look too good as you will know if you've visited other planets with spikes like this. Maybe I need sliders to change these things. When I finally finish at least one planet I will most likely give it out but maybe not to download by anyone. These are my first planets so I don't know what I'll do yet. I will probably need a few people to have a look just to see how it goes because I have a fast computer and I'm pushing it to the limits.

Well if you need volunteers to have a look on the planet when it is finished, I'm in! :) Each render you post from this planet looks better than the previous one!

I am boycotting until you release one of these ;-P I think I like the other one best, but this is really cool.

Very impressive work..The reflective mats on the towers probably aren't helping render times.. BTW, I love the sky

Excellent work. You sure have produced some cools pics from your new worlds ... Now you've got droves of eager mojonauts champing at the bits...lol! On the render time displacement issue perhaps a slider control may be useful for the final release. Otherwise do 'a Phat' and 'a Lite' version. One for the 'I don't care how long it takes to render' brigage and the other for the 'its got to be fast' gang ;)
