Description

Hi, I am new to the 2D community and this image took me longer than I expected. I am still not familiar with photoshop and I guess the most used function was "delete". LOL. I am not quite content with everything but I couldn't do better, so I am very looking forward to your comments, critics and suggestions. :) As I found myself unable to paint buildings I used a little trick. For the cloister I used a brush (freebie from bice I guess), erased one half and than painted the rest over it. For the town on the right I used a 3D model from rodluc (I am afraid he won't recognize it now) and painted over it. Thanks for stopping by and any comment you may leave. :) Britta

Amitiet bravo!

Your jokin' !! New to 2D ?? That's incredible - all i can say ... You have used a good fitting color range, too ! ...

Wow, I'm impressed! Real talent here. I can't draw a straight line myself, except when I'm trying to draw a crooked one. :)

I must confess that the castles and churches look a bit strange within the landscape. Perhaps you should try to paint it manually though or overpaint the pasted objects until they look like an "organic" part of the environment. Despite this nitpicking details - big, big praise about the portrait! Her face is just perfect! I know how hard it is to keep the facial symmetry when painting it with this angle. Splendid, excellent!

Very cool figurative work. Personally I don't think you need that background nod to renaissance settings, the face and dress carry this very well. Bravo.

This looks fantastic!!! I would have to say that your character here looks more modern than I might have expected - and yet you've really captured a renaissance feel with this portrait! I think the background buidlings are a superb touch too and very clever! Well done indeed!!! :)
