Description


Here is a 1990s look at the CAF's A6M2 Zero fighter at an air show at Ellington Field in Houston, Texas. The tail markings indicate a plane from the IJN aircraft carrier Zuikaku. This Zero was recovered from Bouganville around 1970 and made airworthy, but was always problematic and eventually placed on static display. If memory serves the CAF sold it a couple of years back after acquiring a flyable Zero.

I'm with Neil... So many.. and now so few.. While I have seen some German Aircraft flying, including the very famous Me109 'Black 6'.. This was a 100% original Me..
