Razing the roof, along with the rest by goodoleboy ()
The step by step process of demolishing the old AAA building, not far from my haunt, in preparation for widening the freeway, captured between the dates indicated on the collage, and taken at various POVs early in the day under various weather conditions.
A large motel, restaurant, offices and other buildings have met the same fate. Nothing stands in the way of progress, nothing. Vehicles reign!
A ZOOM would be to your benefit.
Au revoir, and have a nice day.

lol, Andrea: No loss architecturally. Yeah, well the building doesn't look like it was gonna win any awards for barrier-breaking design (though it did have an elegance, I must say). But as a shot, it's in the category of "great eye!", because once again you shot something that many photographers would walk away from. So glad you came back to capture the process: It's great to watch it sink into the earth---down, down, down. And the light is more of your indescribable light, especially in the first two captures where it has this oh-so-subtle series of unnamable hues. And the first is so flush-forward in its light: very bold and flat, esp in the red sections. (I have to assume you were fascinated by the contrasts of red with the orange-ish plywood. That's a worthy shot by itself.) Nice shadows in 2, too. The third? A sinking ship. And 4 and 5? Bye bye, with 4 looking like it's being devoured by two huge insects...
