Description

These words were written first in Diane's heart. They whispered to me every time I would look at her work. They got so loud I couldn't hear the voices in my head anymore! So here they are. rainbow's Bay There is a magic here so ancient, it never had a name Once the people felt it, by ones and twos they came Most only came to see the place, they never meant to stay They built a hamlet on the clifftop, an enchantment they named Bay It's perched there on the headland, it's lanes meander down The cliff wears the magic village, like a ruby studded crown The red tiled rooftops strewn throughout, create a stunning sight When the Golden Glow of Daybreak casts its' Kindly Light From the chaos of the crashing waves roaring their hello Wet thunder on the misty rocks, far and away below To the solitude found in the paths that wind down through the wood The magic that imbues the place, can match your every mood Step back from the cliff's edge, and walk a foot or two The thunder becomes muted, and a Quietness envelops you You can walk down to The Thinking Spot, and find a gentle peace Lean on a tree by the wooden bridge, and put your soul at ease There's always double rainbows here, never one when two will do The sunlight casting prisms, through the rain and sea-fret too The gently rolling hillsides, create a quilted scene Meandering streams, trace silver lines, through fields of stunning green The flowers are amazing here, in gardens or growing wild Neatly pruned and tended, or climbing wooden fences like a child They come in every colour, every shade and tint and hue Astounding too the exotic scents, a heady mix to accent the view We curse the wild wretched weather, but love the beauty that it brings It creates Skyscapes so incredible, you will wish that you had wings The Northern Gale and The Icy Maiden, bring glorious colour to our skies Gale paints outrageous, vivid shades, but the Maidens' pastels will soothe the eyes We live in Nature's Own Cathedral, blessed, sacred, hallowed ground Captivating in it's beauty, picture postcards all around There's my dear old friend Gregory, who greets me with a bray And the flock of friendly sheep, who live just down the way Each day creates a special way to give the soul rebirth Living in this tiny piece of Heaven here on Earth The skies here hold a magic, that shares every wondrous sight From the borning of a new day, to the Leaving Of The Light No matter where we travel, whatever places I may roam I'll always find my way back to this place that I call home I know it's where heart will dwell, forever and a day This enchantment on a clifftop, by the sea, Beloved Bay

My home, my heart is here, right by you dear BJ!!! Stunningly beautiful read. You know me, my beloved Bay so well!! I am so honoured. Every word you speak, sings of my Beloved Bay. Beyond beauty. I thank you. Hugs. Diane A beautiful poem which perfectly describes Bay although you have never seen it and perfectly describes our feelings about the place. Your words are the very essence of Bay. Thank you. Sir David. BJ, Di again, We have a little local paper here, called "Bayfair", You can google it :-) I ask you, please to emial this joyous poem to the editor of "Bayfair", Mr Jim Foster. I am certain he would love to print it. I have to read again, before I post my comment :-) Hugs. Diane.

It's a gift to travel down and along your method of expression. It works so well. And a very nice tribute to rainbows.
