Story / Description :
The story continues from the previous render...
We were all racing towards somethings - Miho and wolf were racing to catch the exploration teams, Kenta was racing to his village to warn them and get the message out to all the other villages and I was racing towards the Hyperplane to get airborne. I called Miho over our comms and said I had reached the hyperplane. She told me to get airborne and get to over Kenta's village and protect them with the non lethal weapons if necessary.
I got up in the air and went straight to Kenta's village first. Miho had given me the location. The hyperplane was in invisible mode as Miho had made it clear none of the orcs should see it. It was alien to them and they did not need to know about such things. As I reached the village, I saw Kenta emerge from the tree lines and run to the entrance of the Village. Few of the orcs were around and were about to come out to greet him but he waved them to stop and ran to them. I could see he must have told them about the danger because after a short discussion they all ran out in different directions, what I presumed, to warn the other villages. I saw Kenta gathering everyone in the village and after about 10 minutes they all gathered some food and things and made their way from the back of the village towards the mountain behind the village. I guess they were going to the safety of higher ground. That was a smart move. I saw Kenta standing alone in the middle of the village looking skyward. He knew I was somewhere up in the sky though he could not see me. Miho had told him I would be protecting them from the sky and though Kenta could not understand how I could be flying he believed Miho fully so he knew I was up there. Kenta did a 360 waving his hand skyward not seeing me anywhere and then he too left for the mountains. I waved back even though I knew he won't see me.... He had grown on me.
From the sky I could see the dust in the sky rising from 2 paths where the exploration teams have been cutting down trees to make way. I called Miho and told that Kenta had gotten the message out and that they were all moving to the mountain behind the village and that he had sent out words to the other villages and they too probably will be going to the safety of the mountain. Then I told her I saw the 2 paths the exploration teams had taken. She asked me if I could she any landmark nearby the two paths. I told there was a small hill near one of them, she said to wait for a second. Seconds later she told me she on that path and to go and tackle the other group. I guess she had just climb up the tree and looked over the canopy to see where the hill was. I told her I will handle it and flew towards the other path. Miho in a quiet voice said "Go get them". I felt a chill... When Miho was really mad, she never cursed ( actually she never ever used curse words) , but her voice got very quiet and that was the time to avoid getting on her bad side.... I actually left sorry for the exploration team... They did not know what was coming for them.... Unlike the people Miho had encountered before she needed to get information so she had handled them differently, but after capturing a board member of The Corporation, the others were no longer that important in terms of the information she needed.... so they were in for a tougher time.

About this render :
I was actually wondering what render to do next... This I have said before and other have told me too that they also have faced this... when you are doing a story sometimes trying to figure out what to render next or where the story heads becomes a challenge. Sometimes it just comes to you and sometimes it does not. But doing these multiple renders for each story had become a bit tiring and had to take a break from rendering yesterday. So today when I got up, this thought came to me - how about doing a scene of each of us racing towards something. That way I could render the orc and me again along with Miho and the wolf. So that settled it. I needed 3 panels to depict Miho and the wolf racing after the exploration teams, Kenta racing towards his village and myself racing to get to the hyperplane. Again took a fair bit of time to pose them properly though it looks deceptively simple posing. I was going to try motion blur but after some initial tries (my first attempt at it), I decided I would attempt it later. I kinda of got the hang of it, but it was getting tiring to get the effect just correct. I could have done it in Photoshop but I am one of those who does not do any postwork. My challenge to myself is to get whatever I am looking for to get it actually rendered in Octane, no post work. The forces me to learn new techniques and things almost everyday. The renders you see are what came directly out off Octane rendering. The only thing I do in Photoshop is put the panels together and add my copyright.
These took a couple hours to complete. Bit of work with ZBrush on Miho's skirt and hair to give it a wind effect. Probably the hair need more of a wind effect. But other than that I think things came out quite okay. For the trees, I just used one tree and created lots of instances of it and manually placed them around. The ground is the Quixel texture I have been using for this story. One thing I really don't like is the 2 tone on Miho's texture. The legs kinda don't match the body color tone. Still searching for a better texture for her.
I will comment on all your uploads tomorrow. It's 4:30 in the morning here. Gotta get some sleep ! Hope you all are having a great weekend.

I just updated this with the following changes :
- My latest version of Miho (V2019.05) with my latest improved custom skin shader.
- Miho's hair with my latest improved custom hair shader.
- Orc's skin - added SSS
- Orc's outfit - some material changes to his outfit.
- 'My' sci-fi suit. I changed it to blue instead of the original red texture and changed the metallic finish.
- Added custom material to the trees.
- Better HDRI lighting - The scenes are a lot brighter and has that beautiful sunny yellow tint.

Fantastic installment! Series are hard to keep going... I always face blocks at some point either trying to figure out where the whole story is going or how to convey it. Unfortunately, sometimes those blocks just will not go away and I'm left with an unfinished story.

It's very interesting to tell the story in this way, with 3 images! It's very cinematic! All the poses are excellent and I love all these details like the tongue of the wolf or the different lights that show that the characters are going in different directions ...Awesome work as always !

Wonderful story and excellent images for it! I can't write a story but I wish I could because I love reading them. Doing the artwork and writing the story is twice as hard so I appreciate how talented you are to be able to do both so well!
