When a word takes on a place in a specialized vocabulary my trust is lost. Suddenly I find vector as pest not vector as mathematical construct. I remember how a matrix could be made of vectors in a system but that some vectors still remained like leaves free of trigonometry. Impose an image on that and I see no problems to create bias or caustics. Convolution becomes a guess work ideology. Chaos crunchers do the work.
