lol, I tried to make it mechanically correct as possible, On the gem side the scabbard is open all the way up to where the brass tip begins. and I designed the top of the scabbard to lock the blade in place. Then I got to thinking.... It doesn't really matter, because the sword is either going to be in the scabbard or out in renders If by chance it's rendered half out of the scabbard it can be adjusted to minimize poke through, or the angle of the camera can be adjusted to hide it. 9 times out of ten it will be rendered out of the scabbard or in the scabbard. the real important part is that it looks cool :) thanks everyone for the views and comments.
