Description

Even the strongest Kami would be intimidated by the presence of a Soviet KV1E heavy tank blocking the entrance to a shrine. Its August 1945. An island somewhere north of Hokkaido. The Soviet Union, having rid itself of Nazi Germany has finally been convinced by the other Allies to re-open hostilities against the Empire of Japan. The sweetener on the deal is of course the opportunity to retake territory in the Kuril Archipelago lost decades before, around the time of Tsarist Russia's humiliation at the Battle of Tsushima Strait. But where the Kurils stop and Japan starts is apparently rather a grey area- unless you are Japanese. And while the Allies are arguing about lines on a map, these soldiers have quietly surrounded and ransacked a particular shrine. Looking for exactly what...? It might be best not to ask. Rendered in Poser 8, postwork in Photoshop assets Shrine and torii (3D Chaya) dragon statue (Archibase3D) KV1E (Porsimo- Renderosity freebie) Soviet WW2 machine gun (Panko Axis and Allies WW2 pack- doesn't seem to be on Renderosity) Russian uniform (Poserworld) ground and cherry trees (Lisa's Botanicals, DAZ) The indistinct background is a photograph of countryside.

Great black and white treatment and historical perspective. Just doing a quick check on the Axis and Allies pack, Panko took it off sale but you might get some of the individual items from his store.
