An artist? I found that on wikipedia : Pieter van den Broecke a Dutch cloth merchant in the service of the Dutch East India Company

Of course you are absolutely right! The painting is by Frans Hals and the person in the picture is Pieter van den Broecke. That comes from copying everything quickly and not controlling it anymore. Thanks for the hint!
