Description

I went to Cape Elizabeth today, to see the Portland Head Light. I was randomly snapping pictures of the ocean, and walking around as well. Anyways, I decided to take a picture of the light house from the hill above, and decided that it was the best picture that I had in my collection of photos, so I thought that I'd upload it first. What you see before you has not been edited in any way, except for maybe the size of the photo. I shrunk it a little. I can't help but to be proud of myself because it looks as if it belongs on a postcard. Cheers, Jess

YOU CAN BE PROUD OF THIS,is my point of view!!You did a beautiful photo and with know how that´s what i think when i see: your point of view...the dimensions you choosed for sky and water..the simbiose with the lighthouse and the water line, and the green soil:you didn´t forget the roadway and the mostly beauty for me,the way you closed your photo:the branches from top to bottom,in the left like a thin curtin and in the right you divided the space with them graciously in top and bottom.I think you did agreat and beautiful capture with a great "feeling" between "equilibrium and beauty" .Thank you for sharing.Fav.

I agree with Anaber entirely. The 'curtain', the division of the space, the beautiful patina of ocean haze, the sense that one finds near water, the clarity yet dreaminess of the whole, etc etc---a fine picture. (A must-see full size!) And just the right amount of bluish gray to give it mystery & melancholy. A real Maine shot. Very sensitively done. I hope you keep photographing. You have a real talent...
