First time popping open C4D in a while, took a spin at animating the raptor from Poser 4 after finding an old copy of the program while cleaning out the storage at our home. The model's really, really dated and shows in the way the texture is set up and the rigging, but he's a cutie all the same.
I rendered out a short animation of him doing a little fidgety dance, but the output ended up being far too dark and didn't resemble what the Picture Viewer said it'd look like. Unable to find out how to fix it without re-rendering and unwilling to render the animation all over again, I just popped it into a video editor to apply a gamma adjustment to it. This messed with some of the shadows - like those under the couch in the center - but it was tolerable.
Fun little fact, it might not be easy to see from this view, but the books (sans the one that's opened) on the couch are actual books in my room. I made a simple model and then took photographs of the back, cover, and spine of the books and made a simple texture map for them. It was pretty fun to see things of mine in 3D ^^

Sniff! Sniff! I think I know where my lunch is hiding! Thanks for the laugh. And thanks for your description of your work! When I make an animation, I do a 1 second test run first. Then something longer, just to see how things work out. Fun to see you using the old raptor. I still have it, too. This still image looks great. Now I'm wondering how a 1 second of the animation would look like. Keep up the good work! :-)
Can't escape that keen sense of smell! Welcome :)
What's odd is that I actually did multiple test renders, across several iterations of the scene and making constant adjustments... Then I rendered out one last test and a still... It looked fine. Then I made my last preparations and triple checked everything and set it to render. After a very long while the thing was finished, and it looked just fine in the render output. Some flickering in the global illumination, but nothing that was worth re-rendering the whole thing for. So then I saved it and... The saved file didn't resemble what the Picture Viewer showed me. Every test render matched what the picture viewer showed, except this one. I couldn't figure it out.
I do have an animation of it and was gonna add it into the description, but I couldn't figure out how to edit my submission description on this site... But here's a link to it: https://youtu.be/5rzi1_f2QnI
