Description
Yep, these are over-exposed. (Ya think???)
I didn't do a thing to them, except a little sharpening.
This was a day with SO much sunlight, I wound up with 5 shots of Lake Michigan waves that looked like flames. (I was just starting out w/ photography. These are real waves, people. On a 2 MP camera that Helle gave me...)
I'm back for a few days, and I'll comment on you all.
(Ya know, I'd love it if one of you said, "were you gone???" Or "Don't worry Mark: None of us read your comments anyway...". I'd pay you to see that!)
Also:
If any of you live in the Midwest, it's been f__king COLD, people! I'm talkin' COLD.
That being said, I hope you're all doing well, and I'll get to you all in the next few days. Great to be back! Have a great week, everyone!
Mark
(that's a real pier, and the waves are crashing into it!)

I like the way the water looks like it's exploding.

Mother Nature showing her power! Great shots. Love how the water just explodes. Good to see you back with us.

Firewater! (moonshine) how cool would lakes of alcohol be? Drunk fish, fermented plants, and tipsy frogs. Sounds like a fun place to live. These are really interesting shots. Welcome back!
Sea_Dog
Interesting set of shots. Thanks for posting

OK... First.....
Were you gone????
I'll send you the address for my PayPal account.... πππ€£
I used that one because I actually do read your comments - and I love them! You see stuff in my work I don't even see! π
I love this series of photos, mark! The water looks like it's exploding into flames, and is about to burn your face off. Wicked cool effects, intentional or not. I'd be mucking around with those in Photoshop just to see what kind of wild, fiery effects would result.
Yes... It's farking cooold here in KC! We've had enough snow to make up for the last 6 or 7 years. I think my outside thermometer is stuck on 20 degrees - I think it's frozen too... I'm about ready to go join Savage Dragon and Pixeluna out in the desert.. Or the T.N.A. Girls on the yacht.. I'm sooooo over winter. I'm just thankful I don't have to drive all over the metro in that s##t anymore.
Good to see a post from you, buddy - and you are missed when you're gone!

These are Awesome! The scream "ENERGY". We miss you when you are gone, understand the reason and wait quivering for your return. It's good to know you haven't frozen or moved to Florida where it is so boring you'd throw a shoe through a window, get arrested for disturbing the peace, they'd take away your computer privileges and your camera and we'd sit here wondering "What in the world is Mark up to?" Stay safe and keep on keeping on!

Oh my, I can just hear and feel the crash of the waves against the pier in this outstanding display of nature's anger, or might, just to let you know who's boss. Keen shots considering you were just getting a feel for photography at that juncture. As for your absence, I realize it's due to your condominium renovation and upkeep, a never ending chore. I won't criticize your absence from RR since I'm being that way myself, what with my never ending series of health problems and accompanying stress factors, several of which have nothing to do with my health.

Great pictures. They are very different from one another. The second one looks like a abstract painting. Stay warm Mark.

thats a thing about very cold and sunshine, I just love it and I can't imagine how cold it is in Chicago because I was there and it was so hot, almost to much :-) very refreshing series from Lake Michigan! I like the action in this, a combination of light and splash, not sharp but crisp!

very wild captures of the waves and I do read also your comments, but do not always finish your stories even though they are entertaining and original work. lately I have been occupied with so many different things. I have been helping some sisters I know and one was in my home visiting with her husband for a week. I took them around and out to visit one of the sisters that stays in an extended care facility

You did some amazing work with that little camera! These are all excellent. Itβs your artistic eye, not the camera, and I love seeing these older shots.
