Description

Fifth in a series of shots taken 9/16/16 by my nephew as he drove from Hobbs, New Mexico to Santa Fe, New Mexico. I don't know if he encountered any heavy rain during his trip, and I'm not sure if he took the pics while driving or having stopped. Maybe I should have asked. Anyway, with his permission I added various goodies to the scenes, this one with an airliner and compact car downloaded from the Internet, the red truck is from a photo of mine. So essentially all I did was create a composition. Okay to ZOOM.

(another comma at the end of AKimberly's comment!) Another of those mini cars, behind that hell-red glowing truck (with a green top---it's from a horror film!) And the plane has a deep-red tail wing and trim and wing edges: Real tinges of hell in this montage. And they're the only spots of intense color in this otherwise desolate and storm-laden landscape. Your nephew really caught a huge cataclysm some miles away. Love the spooky juxtapositions; fun, silly and playful. You always used bold hues in your mixed media pieces, and even in these desolate landscapes, you're using them again. Love the reds on that plane.

(Harry: If you've ever seen a tornado, you'll know how awful those skies are. I've seen several, but never with a camera. The sky is like this, only it gets pea-green, and those clouds touching the ground suddenly take shape, and turn into a big rolling cylinder, and you see a huge tube roaring across the ground, generating lighting and explosions; and it's devastating. Denise talked about stormchasers: There are people who do nothing but drive chase these beasts. And they get way too close for my comfort. It's a sight one never forgets...)
