Description


The French Noratlas on a landing strip somewhere in North Africa, may be in Algeria, in the 50ies/60ies. It speeds up the engines, prior to roll and take off... Foreign Legion members are watching... The wonderful and detailed Noratlas is from Jean-Francois Martin and Gilbert Millas. The tanker uniforms and French gear are from Tryphon (I miss him here on Rendo). The AML is from me.

In the seventies, when I was sergeant in the french Air Army, ( not for a long time! ) I was working on ILS and VOR ( instruments to fly without visibility ). I have been travelling in these old slow Noratlas with their oil leaks and some out of duty instruments...
