Description
This is Gabe and Heather with Heather’s daughter Alivia. Gabriel wore his dress uniform because he looks really good in it and it saved money on the tuxedo rental. Gabe is frugal that way.

When I read about Gabriel wearing his military uniform because it saved on a tux, I thought, "good thinking." I had a college friend who, in high school, couldn't afford a tux, so he took black pants and put black duct tape down the sides, and passed it off as a tux. Now that memory's neither here nor there, but it does tell you what people will do when they have to. Military dress can be quite smart and beautiful, so one can't go wrong...Anyway, this is a beautiful portrait, in part because it breaks with the norm of uniform lighting, and brings not only dissolving light from behind (the cosmic touch), but also shadow in front, making it feel like we're looking at a private moment. And of course you got warm and glowing expressions. (Well, Alivia looks like she's been smiling all day and is a bit tired of it, lol---but she's allowed.) Another fine shot from this affair, Mark.
