Description
Captured way back on 10/18/09, at the beautiful Orchid Show held at the beautiful Huntington Botanical Center and Conservatory in beautiful San Marino, California.

That wall is such an odd background for these beautiful red-almost-purple orchids. It's like a thermal yellow back there. You brought out the contrast beautifully, as the red-purples are rich and sensuous; and the white and yellow flowers are added 'candy' to this already sweet shot. You caught the background in all the right places---that sudden 'pillar' back there could cut into the shot: But it doesn't because of your placement. And the yellow blooms on the far right are just right back there, because they give continuity to the flowers while the wall breaks up. A fascinating composition, and a fine, sensual flower capture.
