Well, here's the deflector dish.
I think I went a bit overboard on detail. :)

I think it looks good. I suspect in the end the more detail the better assuming your render engine doesn't choke. Its coming along good

The original had NO details so any details is better than that! Looking really good!

this stuff is just incredible! i've never been big into making this kind of thing myself (something mechanical or structural), so it kind of amazes me how much joy is visible in your work. not that i'm surprised you love doing it, but how clear it is in the end result. considering i really don't have an eye for it, that says a lot.
