Description

After doing some image searches to try to figure out if this is moss or lichen, I'm still confused. Some similar photos identify it as beard lichen, which it is not. Some identify it as Spanish moss, which I think it looks like, but which I read is only found in the south. Others identify it as sasquatch moss. Anybody care to weigh in? Taken on the Sol Duc Falls trail... Please zoom.
