None survived. One of Rome's worst military disasters. Orchestrated by a tribesman who spent several years in Rome, learning their way of fighting. The tribesman then thought he would become king over the Germanic tribes he got to do the fighting for him. They had lost so much because of him that they finally did away with him. Later Roman incursions went unmolested, so they could bury their dead and retrieve their ensigns. A very tragic and sad story for both sides, all due to one man's ambitions. Very well made image! Keep up the good work! :-)
