Description

I took a photo of this monkey years ago at Rusa Park Zoo, Cessnock, and his expression behind the mesh has always begged me to set him free. At first I thought he was a gibbon, but looking at pictures of them tonight, now I have no idea what he is. If anyone knows, I'd be more than grateful if you could fill in the blanks :) ~*@*~ Created tonight in Photoshop V7. ~*@*~ Thanks for viewing, and your feedback is always appreciated. Thank you also to everyone for your comments on my last upload, your words of support meant so much and I hope to be around to comment on all your creations as soon as I find my brain ;) ~*@*~

WOW... :)

I can see why those eyes have been getting to you Cass, you captured the very essence of his spirit there, beautifully done, I agree with Christian this monkey is alive in a way no photo could ever be, you did him proud!

Thank you Bev, Tim and Christian, who never irritates me. This isn't a photo, but a drawing in PS, copied from a photo that I plan to scan tomorrow night and post in the 2D forum. Thanks again for such flattering comments :)

Have you tried looking behind the fridge? When you lose something it's nearly always there. Okay, that's a Red Dwarf quote LOL ;-) looks behind the fridge AHA! Here it is ;-) examines your brain Ah, what a beauty! One side seems a little bigger than normal too, hmm, interesting... oh I do like this brain, what a beautiful person this belongs to... la di da... forgotten something... clicks fingers into upright point PICTURE! Shit LOL... oh man, this is something else hugs. I'll start from the back ;-) Very good idea to blur the background like that, definitely adds to the almost photographic sense of realism and accentuates those delicate hairs better than any more elaborate backdrop ever could. Great work on his hair, your patience with those fine layers of tone has paid off. And those eyes... man. Bev's right, they have given this portrait a sense of intimacy greater than a photo could achieve, it really is as though you're encroaching on his personal space but he's trusting you enough to do so, providing you make no sudden movements and there's some fruit in your bag L. This little guy is adorable Cass, another PS session well spent, and I have to say (before I forget to do so again) how much I like your new signature box... reminds me of the text boxes in Taoist art, was that the plan? HUGS Thank you so much :-D

Actually I thought it was a photo at first, but then...Cassie, you are a Master (with a big M)!! Those eyes are not easily forgotten. First I wondered what they reminded me of, then i remembered. The first hours after giving birth to my children, when I looked and looked into their eyes, and felt I saw into the eternity itself, right into their souls. There is no bottom in a newborn baby's eyes, and you have captured this here, thanks for letting me remember those precious moments. This little creature is so lovely that no words can describe it!!

Those sft beautiful eyes have the very essence of quiet contemplation, and it's WE who are being contemplated. If any eyes could see into a person's soul, it's these, and causes me to reflect on things much deeper than surface issues. Great job on the hair too, it's so lifelike. In fact it's to your credit that so many people have complimented you on it's realism. hugs

I'm so late with my words here, Cassie! And I don't yhink I can find more to say after all those wonderfu comments! I can only repeat, such a master piece; and so much more expressive than a photo could be. The poor fellow has been captured, but you have set free his soul with your magical touch in this picture. Thank you so much for creating this, and sharing it with us! hugest hugs :-)
