Description

this one took some time putting together. lots of lattice work going on. the grass is finally right, diff lengths and bent in several directions. the poem was originally written by King Solomen as a proverb, which i rewrote in poetry form. it wasn't easy to do and keep the message accurate, but i managed i think. surprised that it only took 15 min. to render. dedicated to Lemonjim and Tuttle, who have inspired me to continue on with the grass and lattice. thanks a million guys. peace.

Nice picture, nice concept. I want to comment on the grass, though. I've seen some of the other pictures you've made, and, forgive me if I'm mistaken, but it looks as if you use a terrain to build grass. I don't think that's the best way to do it. My solution to grass, weeds and so forth, is to use the Bantam3D grass generator, which produce all sorts of grass in small obj-files. It's very flexible and versatile, and of course you can texture it in Bryce. I strongly recommend it, it will make pebbles and leaves, too. I have no "connection" with the maker of this freeware (right now I don't even remember who he is) - but you can get it at www.bantam3d.com.

Great pic, and the grass is excellent and very realistic (I wouldn't advise using OBJs for all that grass unless you have about 10Gb memory!!!!) Nice work.

Great text, great grass with no third-part-software (really stunning!) and the choice of symmetry gives a lot of strength to the subject: great. (my only (little) regret: the sky. I know, I always say that... sorry)
