Danaus plexippus. Nearly everyone loves monarch butterflies. I found this one at the end of last month (October). Imagine butterflies in October! I'll do ya one better soon. Monarchs are not common here, though you see one occasionally. These are released every Saturday in the park by a hospice staff in memory of those who have left us. Found at Tohono Chul Park, Arizona, USA
