My vacation just started and I wanted to try something completely different for once.
Inaccuracies are due to my mistakes and tiny reference images. I still don't know how all the parts are called and what they do. It's not exactly a dragon or dolphin *g*
Hope you like it anyway!

That looks great, accurate or not it's a nicely done model. The only thing taking away a little bit is the case in the background, the cutouts are a little too obviously polygonal, but that's nothing to do with the great job you did on the rifle. You could probably be a little more free with bevels in certain places, like the forearm (the part your left hand would grip under the barrel, for a right handed shooter) but it's a great model all around.
I wouldn't worry about knowing what the thingamajigger, doohickey and whatzitcalled are actually named. It doesn't have to be a 100% accurate representation of an actual gun - it still looks like it could be a real one. I'm with pjz99 about the case; a little more work there will go a long way, and each section doesn't necessarily have to have a matching cutout on the top of the case. A bit of beveling/chamfering will help with the look, as will using textures/shaders to make it look like foam. As for the gun itself, I'd also work a bit more on the butt (the back end) and the grip. I hope you're planning on doing more with this and are going to show us more.
