Description

misty morning - Tobruk 1942 this was supposed to be a simple scene to put my model of a tiger tank into, in the end i thought it looked better without the tank. the building designs were copied straight form a computer game as i liked the look. ive taken a shine to the atmospheric fog effect, id never even used physical fog in a scene untill now, but think its a real nice effect. most of the smaller objects in the scene were placed using dynamics as its a real pain to manually align each rock etc to a very uneven surface. -lil bit of postwork in the form of sharpening as it added to the look of a painting. +if anyones wondering what the massive gun looking thing on the left is, its a german flak88. +sky was made in terragen and just used as an image plane, the mountains in the bg are maya though. comments welcome...

oh..I recognize the 88, tried modeling one once..once..;) kinda reminds me of the beginning of Patton, where he's firing 6-shooters at the Nazi planes..;) great work.

Impressive, very impressive. The fog looks v nice indeed and I like the idea of using dynamics to place the objects, sounds like a time-saver. V
