Description

Was in Long Beach for a wedding for the last 8 days so the render machine sat. Our first house sitter came down with Appendicitis a day after we arrived in California (she's fine now), so we had a bit of a scramble to have the dogs and cat covered for a day or so until our replacement was available. All worked out well. Also got a 3 month contract offer on the Thursday we were down there and I start at Real Networks here in Seattle tomorrow (Monday). Fortuitous timing as the other half got a WARN notice from Boeing on Friday after we got back. A WARN notice (for those unfamiliar) is a required alert of impending layoff means you have 60 days in which you can seek out another position within the company. Boeing sent out 1000-1100 on Friday (don't you just LOVE when a company does it on a Friday?!). If you are unsuccessful and there is no reversal in the decision, you will be laid off at that time. Paula has always done well as a Project Manager and it seems that each time this has happened in her career, she has always moved up the ladder. Here's hoping her run continues. Mission Pak was created in DOGA L3, background is one of my Flaming Pear creations and it was all rendered in Inspire 3D. T4V&C

Awesome sci fi scene. As for Boeing, my neighbor retired from there but only after he played the same game your wife is playing for years. He had to always keep his ears open way before the notices came around. Good luck.
