Description

Millennium kingdom - rise from the ashes A clean VUE render without postwork. Inspiration from a fabulous accoustic composition and video called: The islander. Written and performed by a rock band called, Nightwish. What i really like about the composition and video is... The instrumentation(choice of instruments used in the song) But also the very special atmosphere and soundscape in it. The video itself, is actually a piece of artwork. I really recommend it... Here is the fabulous video of, The islander, performed by Nightwish: Click here to experience, The islander. Here is an alternative if the first link malfunction: Here is an alternative version of, The islander, performed by Nightwish: Or click here to listen to, The islander. For my health situation. No new cancer. That is the best news :) I am sorry for not being in these galleries as much as i want to... But, the last 3 months have been bothering, and destroying my days. I have to eat 6 times a day. 20 minutes after i have eaten.. My stomach starts to hurt... then i have to take painkillers.. And go to bed for 1 hour or so.. when i wake up.. i feel ok again. But can you imagine, repeating it 6 times every day? Every day is a battle for me.. about getting enough food to avoid losing more weight. There are not many hours a day, where i can actually get something done. It also shortens my time at the computer, doing comments or creating images. When i ask the doctors, how long i can expect this situation to last... They just say... it can take a long time for some people ... What kind of an answer is that? :) My next CT scan and doctors conversation is in late January 2015. So not much to say at the moment.... i need patience.. Patience... and patience :) I hope everyone here in the galleries are ok? Hope you like the image and the song... Thanks for comments and/or faves. Also thank you for your warm, kind thoughts and words about my situation.

Lars, first of all and most important let me say that it I am glad there is no new cancer and we will continue to keep you in our prayers. I know you have suffered so much in recent months and please don't get discouraged at the slow healing process, my friend. Now on to this amazing presentation that really made my day as I am a HUGE fan of Nightwish myself. Being from the states where they starve us of outside influence I was one of those who hadn't heard of them until a few years back, and only then due to my own research after hearing the song (If I had an Angel) at the end of a movie I enjoyed. This presentation indeed makes a powerful statement about that rise and by featuring children calls attention to the importance of the situation.

Lars, I'm glad to hear that there is not a new cancer! I understand how you can feel in having to eat every 20 minutes and sleep... but, like you said, you have to have lots of patience. You'll see that you'll be fine as soon as possible. Sorry if I have not written for some time, but I've been really busy. I hope soon to send you an e-mail! A big hug :)

first thing, I apologize for being late to comment. I have had 3 visitors in my home and my brother in law lost his battle with lung cancer and I went to Oklahoma for his funeral. at least I was able to see my two brothers. 2 visitors have returned to their sons in Las Vegas and the other one is currently with her sister not far away. I am happy for you that no new cancer was found and I hope it is a reality for future tests. your eating problems seems to be a real challenge but I know you will have the strength to survive your art excels as usual. very creative work

it's good to see you here, Lars! I'm happy for you that you have good news but sad that you are still struggling. you remain in my heart and prayers and on my mind, always. this is a cool image, I like children in images, they are our hope and our future... keep looking for hope and for a future, too, my friend.

I can't believe how well you caught the spirit of that song (and its video) in your image! Only, you added a whole range of mythic symbols that the video didn't have. You have a temple, where one of your amazing "child-adults" seems to be offering prayer or gifts. You have an old mansion (on the left), with a bat-dragon flying in front of it. Maybe a touch of Halloween? (Your front-pov looks like a difficult pose to capture, and you captured it very well.) And there are primal mounds and hills too; and---on the right---what look like old jars, even though they're rocks or boulders: Maybe they contain the pieces of a civilization about to be reborn. They feel that way to me. They also have a slight 'ancient grave-stone' feel to them---still, they speak of rebirth and mystery inside. And you have your eternal musician---that woman playing a cello which seems to be a deep aqua-green glass---we can see through it which is a terrific touch of intuition. She's always around in so many of your pictures, playing music that accompanies the cosmos... And there's rubble at the bottom: the detritus of an after-war scenario, with broken-down and rusted vehicles, and flame in the ground, and smoke. But it all leads to this blinding light on top. And the front-most child seems to be painting the rings of that planet with his/her rose. It's a beautiful uncanny touch, one of many such revelations in your many pieces of art. And you placed those children in every kind of position---from sad (at bottom) to leaping for joy (the left-most one). With planets above, and a deep light breaking through. It captures the essence of that song and video; and, more importantly, it captures an essence in you. This is pure myth and inspiration. The song, yes, has terrific instrumentation: It sounds heavily Celtic/Irish. I hear bagpipe, Irish drums and others. And the main melody is so very Irish---it's pentatonic in fact (made of 5 notes, primarily: if you were in the key of "D" they would be D, E, F, and then B flat and A, below). And it has a timeless feel. The opening of the video looks like 3D animation; and the song is performed in a post-apocalyptic setting, where light is dawning. A scene from a Medieval dream, with a beginning-of-creation feel. But you caught that in your image with a much more glowing palette. Again Lars, I wish you all the power in the world, to endure the long uncaring stint of recovery. I hope that you start to see change and strength returning. I'm terribly sorry you have to endure all this, as if the disease and operation weren't asking enough of you. But I know it can take months. Much strength to you, and countless blessings from above. And you have to know that what you're giving us here is a tremendous gift. I remain grateful for it to this day. An amazing upload, Lars. Godspeed.
