This makes me feel calm. When I try to understand it I feel it's simply order imposed on chaos. I'm probably just projecting. :) I am in love with the rocks. They are truly beautiful. Your rocks rock.

i don't know what to say... there's an inner balance emerging from. i don't know how to describe it... it's amazing..:! the play of geometry... the "impossible" construction... one element floating in another... sublte colors... perfect outwork... off cass... there are no words to describe - just to say : this is unreal... :D or... das ist der reine wahnsinn... :) hugs

Very cool, gives me that rustic feeling, like craftsman of old doing their work.

I have to say Cassie, that despite the wonderful geometry of framework that leads you eye on a little path around the picture, what really makes this piece top notch is the pebbles! My god they are SO real and so beautifully coloured I just can't help staring and wanting to pick them up in my fingers. Are you SURE this isn't a photo? ;) They are a work of art in themselves hon, and it's only a shame there's just a small strip of them for my eyes to feast on.

Yayyyy, I was wondering when you'd post this! I guess the obvious cop-out comparison would be bern's "Magical Mystery Tool" series but this is far more and as Ava said the pebbles are remarkable and an achievement in itself HUGS. A very interesting arrangement, maybe this is an intuitive depiction of the order that is Chaos L. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, as I said I've been looking forward to it :-D

Oh WOW, Stunning!! This is gorgeous, the details and awesome handling of the different textures, from the solid pebbeles to the drift wood, with a stunning composition to match!!! Yes ... balance is a word that comes to mind!

This is an absolutely beautiful work Cassie. For some reason it makes me think of one of my other favorite painters... Georgia O'Keefe. Phenomenal work Cass, I'm stunned by this!

Ah, Cassie! Here it is! I'm just staring it, admiring every detail in it, and the whole composition; it's so calming. This painting glows and radiates its beauty. There is harmony between a primitive work and highly sophisticated thinking. In every look it gives more and more ways to go, ways of think. Somehow this is a safe and caring world, a world where wisdom can grow. It's been really worth of waiting for this painting of yours - thank you so so much for sharing! hugs

Absloutely crazy and so beautiful! Bravo. You made me believe that a stick and litle wet stones are wort painting. And even more they deserve staring at them for minutes! Simply unbelievable!

Ordinary objects invested with the marvellous again. We can see them afresh. Isolating them in white space was a neat idea. Thanks as always, Cassie....

I'll jump on the bandwagon concerning the incredible reality of the pebbles. If I were looking at the image in person, I would expect to feel smooth stone if I touched it, not canvas! I like how you've laid the wood out, it's like a little maze. Thank you for sharing the tutorial too, fascinatingHUGS Shame you don't have a streaming video of it after all, bet it'd be the new art show hit;) Watercolours with Cassie!

I guess I would have to reach deep to understand this, it doesnt really matter, Im sat here marvelling at the wonderful design and contrast between the elements in this, beautiful image. Is it a trap for what lies beyond the window?

...puts me in mind of Georgia O'Keefe crossed with some Dada construction ---with a nice solid floor of stones to set it upon ----- delicate objects at every turn of this well balanced watercolour - ( egg -- urn/shell/skull --- dandylion & feather ) ----so much to see - works in the details and the whole!
