I agree with db they are like family and we worry and pray for them as we would family - Karen was one of the first rosity members to help me when I first joined Chris :o)

This is very sweet of you Meredith :-) You have such a big heart :-) Karen was the first person I met here at Rosity and she made me feel very welcome. My first image was done with one of her characters. I don't think I did a very good job with that first image but she told me it was great :-) Just today I discovered webshadow's gallery. She quickly found her way to my favorites as another amazing artist I have found here. Both Karen and Laurie are in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks very much Meredith. I am so pleased to have someone like you as a freind :-)

Very nice idea, Meredith. My thoughts go to all people that need it. I think this is a great use of the internet. I'm one of those artyfarty types that believes in the power of healing thought.

Wow! This is an interactive 'Get Well Card' of sorts? What a tremendously creative idea and concept! I have signed a few of these in my time at work! You are right about the undying network of support here from this community, and it's a force to be reckoned with, especially when our friends really need a little bright light on their day! I know, I have been there. My sincere and deepest thoughts, prayers, and best wishes are for Laurie, Karen, and Hal from the bottom of my heart, and if there's anything I can do, let me know please! It's so enlightening how everyone here cares and actively goes out of their way to support those who are having difficult times, even more so than alot of people in my physical life. But hey, we are artists and we are special people! The tides of compassion rise again for a good cause, and our friends and fellow artists here mean everything to us! Agree with Lilybelles and the above ones ... Renderosity has the 'in memoriam' section, a virtual gravestone somehow, but it is much better to gain the sympathy and prayers of all those people dropping by in the galleries when there is a chance to get well and healthy again!

The secretaries where I worked circulated all the get well cards, the birthday cards and any updates from those who had left or been laid off. What you have here is something more where pain has shown how the spirit rises in art someimes directly and sometimes as with Olympic athletes when a parnet, loved one or coach dies. Celebrity manipulation of the coffers of charity to fund pet incurable diseases is also different. Artists can see where pain blocks the lesser gheist.

A wonderful sentiment and to show we really do care for one another. Thoughts and prayers for them................
