Description

Modeled and rendered in LW, all textures created in Photoshop. No radiosity, simple 5-light setup, rendering time is about 3 mins. This is the alternate "massacre texture" for the modular environment that I am working on. This series could be taken from the POV of a survivor trying to escape from the derelict complex in the aftermath of a massacre. But then again it might not be. Could even be a strawberry jam food fight and some really sloppy crewmen. :o) Always happy to hear what you might have to say about my work. Your comments go a long way in helping me improve on things. Thanks very much for viewing.

This is image could easily be a scene for some sort of alien movie. The lights in the scene creates a fantastic mood. I especially like the first picture... Really spooky. Great textures to!

the is amazing stuff, lighting looks natural and texturing is not overpowering for such a scene..I would just make the light source above the door a bit more apperent/natural by adding a bulb or something.. Keep up the great work moe..

Heh. To quote the Rocky Horror crowd "Where's the f---ing bathroom?" This scene is so realistic, you expect to find everything. Great stuff, as always!

the dark procedural in the wall surface is too repeating. and its a bit too dark and dirty for my taste.
Love it, is so much better then anything i could do.

Excellent! Reminds to the Screenshots from Doom3 (bloody, dirty, rusty, dark!!! Great texturing & lightning. One thing: The round lamps... there is no light under them on the wall!!! Great atmosphere!

MOe, this looks great! Nice to see you delving into textures! Only comment would be that the pattern looks too even. Maybe try darkening up the areas that would collect dirt, like all the little details on the panels. Maybe some grungy moldy darkness on the bottom of the walls? Either way, fantastic work!

Thanks for all the comments and input. Robin - no procedurals, 100% seamless tiles, but it does tend to repeat itself a bit too much. Svenart - you caught me, used only luminosity settings and not a real light (that's why only 3-minute renders). petes - busted again, I have a seamless weathering diffusion map with a build up of grime at top and bottom that I didn't apply to this texture series. Careless of me. Will try again. :o) Thanks!

Great work Moebius! The texture does seem to repeat itself, but with a name like Moebius... (-: I also think blood is a tad bit darker than that (at least, when it's dried. If it's still fresh it could be that color, I suppose.) Really ambient and creepy. Strong Doom/Aliens feel. Nice grit. Great work overall!

This is dreadful, really dreadful,I've never seen anything this bad before...it's the worst,my head is in my hands in total disbelief that an artist of your calabre would post a picture of what has obviously been a terrible massacre :-) Fantastic work as usual !!! And top marks as usual !!! 10++
